Inspector of Turns means, in Swimming, a person with the roles and responsibilities described in Article 2.8 of Part Two.

- P2:2.8.1
One (1) Inspector of Turns will be assigned to each lane at each end of the pool, to ensure Athletes comply with the relevant rules after the start, for each turn, and at the finish.
Одного (1) Суддю на повороті призначають на кожну доріжку з кожного боку басейну, щоб забезпечити дотримання Спортсменами відповідних правил після старту, на кожному повороті та на фініші.

Jurisdiction for the Inspector of Turns at the start end commences from the start signal until the completion of the first arm stroke, except in Breaststroke where it will be the second arm stroke.
Юрисдикція Судді на повороті зі стартового боку починається від стартового сигналу і триває до завершення першого гребка руками, окрім брасу, де це другий гребок руками.

For each turn, jurisdiction for the Inspector of Turns commences from the beginning of the last arm stroke before touching and ending with the completion of the first arm stroke after the turn, except in Breaststroke where it will be the second arm stroke.
На кожному повороті юрисдикція Судді на повороті починається від початку останнього гребка руками перед торканням і закінчується завершенням першого гребка руками після повороту, окрім брасу, де це другий гребок руками.

Jurisdiction for the Inspector of Turns at the finish commences from the beginning of the last arm stroke before touching the wall.
Юрисдикція Судді на повороті на фініші починається від початку останнього гребка руками перед торканням стінки.

When a Backstroke ledge is being used, each Inspector of Turns at the starting end will install and remove the ledge in their lane. Once installed, the ledge will be set at zero (0).
Коли використовується опора для старту на спині, кожен Суддя на повороті зі стартового боку встановлює і знімає опору на своїй доріжці. Після встановлення опора виставляється на нуль (0).

In individual Freestyle races of 400m, 800m and 1500m, each Inspector of Turns at the starting end and turning end of the pool will record the number of laps completed by the Athlete in the lane monitored. The Athletes will be informed of the remaining number of laps to be completed by the display of “lap cards” that show odd numbers at the turning end of the pool. The “lap cards” must be displayed either at deck level or in the water (at the LOC’s discretion based on availability at the venue). Electronic equipment for the same purpose, including underwater display, may be used.
В індивідуальних запливах вільним стилем на 400 м, 800 м і 1500 м кожен Суддя на повороті зі стартового та поворотного боків басейну веде облік кількості відрізків, які подолав Спортсмен на доріжці, за якою він спостерігає. Спортсменів інформують про кількість відрізків, що лишилися, показуючи «картки відрізків» з непарними числами з поворотного боку басейну. «Картки відрізків» мають показуватися або на рівні бортика, або у воді (на розсуд Організаційного комітету (LOC) залежно від можливостей місця проведення). Може використовуватися електронне обладнання з тією самою метою, включно з підводним відображенням.

Each Inspector of Turns at the starting end will give a warning signal when the Athlete in their lane has two laps plus five (5) metres to swim to finish in individual Freestyle races of 400m, 800m and 1500m. The signal must be repeated after the turn until the Athlete has reached the 5 metre-mark on the lane rope. The warning signal may be by whistle or bell.
Кожен Суддя на повороті зі стартового боку подає попереджувальний сигнал, коли Спортсмену на його доріжці лишається пропливти до фінішу два відрізки плюс п'ять (5) метрів в індивідуальних запливах вільним стилем на 400 м, 800 м і 1500 м. Сигнал має повторюватися після повороту, доки Спортсмен не досягне позначки 5 метрів на розділювальній доріжці. Попереджувальний сигнал може подаватися свистком або дзвоном.

Each Inspector of Turns at the starting end will determine, in relay events, whether the starting Athlete is in contact with the starting platform when the preceding Athlete touches the starting wall. When Automatic Officiating Equipment that judges the compliance of relay take-offs is available, it will also be used.
Кожен Суддя на повороті зі стартового боку визначає в естафетних дисциплінах, чи перебуває Спортсмен, який стартує, у контакті зі стартовою тумбою в момент, коли попередній Спортсмен торкається стартової стінки. За наявності Автоматичного суддівського обладнання, яке оцінює правильність естафетних передач, воно також використовується.
